For the hydraulic system of UHV electric pump, it is very strict on the airtight property, which directly affects the daily use efficiency and the service life of the electric pump. In general, we have to realize its closed performance through the following forms.
The first is to use sealed gaskets, which are divided into metal and non metal. Unlike other ordinary metals we see, it is relatively extensibility. The material is mainly copper, iron, aluminum, and non metal materials are mainly asbestos and rubber. The principle of its airtight is mainly an elastic deformation. When the sealing gasket is placed in the middle of a hydraulic element that needs to be closed, when the two components are squeezed by some external force and pressure on the seal, the seal will change shape due to some of its own characteristics. It is a variant expansion, which effectively prevents the generation of gaps between the two components.
Compared with the first closed mode, for the EHV Electric Pumping Station, the second kinds of sealing methods are more common, that is, dynamic seals. Dynamic seal is a kind of closed mode between the components of relative motion. Because of the different hydraulic components of any kind of hydraulic pump, there will be more or less crevice due to relative motion, and the dynamic seal is the sealing way mainly for these crevice. Because the relative motion between the components of the ultra high voltage electric pumping station is very complex, the seal mode of the dynamic seal is also varied. The common seal is used in a lot of rubber seals. This seal is called the expansion ring seal. In addition, the forming packing seal and the stuffing seal formula are often used in the dynamic seal of the hydraulic components.
The third seal, called self tight seal, also called automatic seal, is very ingenious. The dynamic seal is closed to the gap produced by the relative motion between the components, and the self tight airtight is the effect of using the relative motion of the ultra high voltage electric station element to realize the closed effect. This way of sealing can be understood as the gap between some elements can be reduced by clever movement, or even completely closed.
