The hard rail of the machining center refers to the casting parts which are integrated with the guide rail and the lathe bed, and then the guide rail is machined on the basis of the casting. That is, the shape of the slideway is cast on the bed, and then the guideway formed after quenching and grinding, the bed and the guideway are not necessarily integrated, such as the steel guide, which is connected to the bed after processing.
The line rail of the machining center usually refers to the rolling guide, which is used in the linear module often used in the machine tool industry. We usually call this kind of element “linear guide”.
The linear guide itself is divided into two parts: slide rail and slider. There are internal rollers or rollers in the slide block, and the length of the slide rail can be customized. It is a modular component, a standarized series of separate products produced by a specialized manufacturer, which can be installed on a machine tool and can be disassembled and replaced after wear.
Many machine tools in the field of fine processing, most of which use high precision line rail as machine tool guide, which also greatly guarantee the machining accuracy of machine tools, imported German Rexroth, Japan THK, domestic do better Nanjing technology, Hanjiang line rail, Taiwan silver and so on.
Is the machining center a good hard rail? Is it a good line?
In fact, there is nothing to say about hard rail and wire rail, but it can only be said that they are not suitable because their emphasis is different. Let’s take a look at their respective advantages and disadvantages.
The advantages and disadvantages of 1. hard rail and its application
The hard rail has large sliding contact surface, good rigidity, strong earthquake resistance and strong bearing capacity, and is suitable for heavy load cutting.
Hard rail belongs to dry friction. Due to the large contact surface, the friction resistance is greater and the speed of movement is not too fast. At the same time, it is easy to creeping. The gap exists on the moving surface, which leads to machining error. The maintenance of the machine tool track is the weight of the heavy, once the track lubrication is not enough, it will cause the track burn or wear transition, which are fatal to the precision of the machine tool.
The application of hard rail is suitable for heavy cutting, large mould, high hardness workpiece and general workpiece with accuracy requirement.
The advantages and disadvantages of 2. line rail and its application
Now many machine tools run fast, especially the air range speed, which is largely dependent on the line rail. The line rail can achieve zero gap between track and high precision through pre tightening. As far as the service life is concerned, the line rail is much higher than the hard rail.
The cutting force of the line rail is smaller than the hard rail, but for the hard rail, the line rails of many machine tools have greatly improved their carrying capacity.
The application of wire rail is suitable for high speed machine, high speed cutting, suitable for processing products and small precision moulds. Today, more precision machining centers use wire rails.
